Buenos Aires and Patagonia in two weeks
- 2 nights in Buenos Aires
- 2 nights in Ushuaia
- 1 night in Puerto Natales
- 4 nights W hike
- 1 night in Puerto Natales
- 2 nights El Calafte
- 2 nights El Chalten
We started our visit in Buenos Aires which is the natural point of entry. After spending a couple days in the vibrant capital we took a flight to Ushuaia which is the most Southern point of Argentina and the perfect starting point to explore Patagonia.
There are many buses from Ushuaia to go back North, and we took the one to Puerto Natales (Chile) to explore the W hike (see Chile section – an absolute MUST). From Puerto Natales you can take another bus back to Argentina taking you to El Calafate and then further to El Chalten, both with breathtaking Patagonian views. Some of these buses fill up quite quickly so you may want to purchase your ticket a few days in advance.
We highly recommend this way of travelling and crossing back and forth to Chile by bus, it’s cheap and super easy and comfortable, and you get to see the Andes from up close! A From El Calafate we took the plane back the Buenos Aires.
